Description

The five full length recombined PAD proteins (1, 2, 3, 4 and 6) expressed by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells using N-terminal GST tags. This mixture is ideally suited for in vitro citrullination of protein targets.
The PAD family of enzymes is responsible for the catalysis of arginine-to-citrulline conversion in target proteins. There are 5 mammalian PAD isoforms (PAD1-4,6) that share ~50% sequence homology. Each PAD enzyme has its own typical subcellular localization, tissue distribution and substrate specificity, although no substrate protein has been found so far for PAD6
